The Diocese of Nocera Umbra was a Roman Catholic diocese in Umbria, Italy. In 1915 the Diocese of Nocera Umbra was united with the Diocese of Gualdo Tadino to form the Diocese of Nocera Umbra-Gualdo Tadino. In 1986 this was united with the Diocese of Assisi, to become the Diocese of Assisi-Nocera Umbra-Gualdo Tadino. ==History==
The first authentic Bishops were Felix (412), Aprilis (499) and Liutardus (824); others were: *St. Rinaldo de Comitibus (1217) and Blessed Filippo Oderisi (1285), monks of Fonte Avellana; Blessed Alessandro Vincioli, O.M. (1363); *Thomas II, Bishop of Nocera, bishop from Acerno who served in Apulia in the 14th century *Giovanni Marcolini (1446), who restored the cathedral; *Varino Favorino (1514), a humanist; *Gerolano Mannelli (1545), founder of the seminary; *Marco Battaglini (1690), diocesan historian; *Francesco Luigi Piervissani (1800), exiled in 1809 because he refused the oath of allegiance to Napoleon.
